Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Catchy phrase, but how do you even begin to make that a reality?  Let’s look at where to start.  It’s like two wings of a bird; one wing is resilience, the other is clarity.  Without both firmly in place, you end up going in circles like a bird with a bad wing.

Resilience means staying neutral or calm in your heart no matter the circumstances.  This allows for access to wisdom, new thinking, and lots of untapped energy.  It doesn’t mean you are always happy!  Far from it.  It means that peace is available and preferred, and that you have access to it at any time.

Clarity is the other wing.  Do you know the experience you WANT to be having?  Are you clear what inspires you?  Are you even sure about how to deal with the overwhelm most of us feel at work?  Do you know what you are designed for, the thing you love to do, that allows you to feel well used and gives you purpose?  This is an essential piece of the puzzle.  Without that clarity, you may continue to force yourself to stay at a job or in a career because you should, not because you belong there.  Almost all of our clients tell us they KNOW what they want to do.  They are afraid they can’t support themselves doing that thing.

Career Wisdom is devoted to teaching people how to love what they do and do what they love.  Come join us for the beginning of the journey and learn the resilience piece in one powerful day.  Our next Inside Job workshop is scheduled for January 24, 2014, in Moraga. Tuition is $175.  We’d love to help you end your suffering at work.  Let’s have 2014 be the year of loving our work!
